Speaking with Head of Global Innovation at Tata Consumer Products, Liliana Caimacan
After the CMO Inspired Summit at Ascot Racecourse, we sat down with our speaker, Liliana Caimacan. Liliana is the Head of Global Innovation at Tata Consumer Products as well as the Professor of Innovations, Design Thinking, Marketing, Brand Management, Digital; Research Fellow at Hult International Business School.
During our interview, we spoke about Liliana’s career to date, with her explaining that her “career spans over more than 20 years across various companies within the marketing environment”. Liliana says that a lot of her career has been concerned with driving innovation in order to understand as well as meet customer needs and expectations which has led to her teaching numerous courses at Hult International Business School on topics such as Marketing, Brand Management, and Design Thinking.
Liliana talks about the challenges she is currently facing, for example, at Hult Business School they are continuing to work on ensuring they are providing valuable blended learning experiences for their students as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Liliana also discusses the work going on at Tata Consumer Products around driving growth in the current context “where everything is changing” with so much added pressure from the environment and unknowns, such as COVID-19.
As well as this, we also talked about her experience at the CMO Inspired Summit in October 2021. Liliana gives an insight into what she spoke about on the day for those who were not able to attend, she said “our talk was really focused on identifying opportunities to transform businesses and move into more sustainable growth”. On top of this, Liliana shared her experience of the day as a whole saying it was valuable to network, learn and interact with peers.
