Speaking with QPR FC’s Head of Operations, Joshua Scott

Ahead of our upcoming Inspired Workplace X Summit, we sat down with one of our speakers, Head of Operations and QPR Football Club, Joshua Scott, to discuss his career to date and the insights he’ll be sharing at this highly anticipated upcoming event.

Joshua started his career in Operations and Facilities as a Facilities Coordinator in the financial industry, but when the opportunity came up to join QPR Football Club he jumped at it and has since worked his way up to Head of Operations. He had achieved a great deal in this time, including making matches more accessible for fans with disabilities and additional needs.

As we know, many industries were greatly affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic, but the abrupt stop to all forms of physical events and gatherings meant the hospitality and events industry was forced into a scary and uncertain time. With such an integral role within QPR FC, Joshua and his team faced one of their greatest challenges. Not only did plans need to be put into place while mass gatherings were on hold and prepare for their return but with sporting events being constantly in the public eye there was a great deal of responsibility to keep fans and employees safe.

In this interview, Joshua discusses his career, the lessons he had learned from the repercussions of Covid-19 and gives us an insight into what he’ll be discussing during his workshop at the Inspired Workplace X Summit, including how operations and facilities can move forward in a post covid world.
