Speaking with Met Office’s Head of Property Management, Lynda Jones

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Lynda Jones, Head of Property Management at The Met Office who will be speaking for us at the Inspired Workplace X Summit at Ascot Racecourse on the 19th of October.

The Met Office are a world leader in providing weather and climate services, the Met Office supports a wide range of industries from energy generation and water distribution, surface transport and aviation, retail, and environmental sectors such as agriculture.

Throughout our interview, we discuss the different activities Lynda is responsible for within the Met Office. Lynda tells me she has had various roles within The Met Office which have lead to her being where she is now as Head of Property Management for the past ten years. Lynda and her team are responsible for facilities management which includes cleaning, restaurants and cafes, health and safety, security within the company and more.  Lynda also gives us an insight into what she will be discussing at the Inspired Workplace X Summit. Lynda’s main focus will be on hybrid working and what this not only means for employees but also the premises and workspaces, discussing how the pandemic has affected peoples working practices and routines and how best we can adapt in order for employees to be as comfortable as possible to encourage optimum concentration and working. Lynda looks specifically at the workspace and what elements are needed both in-office and at home to get the best out of employees.
