Introduction
This event's privacy notice is aimed at individuals who choose to attend a live in-person event, live or pre-recorded online conference, webinar, virtual round table, focus group or other online event as provided by Inspired Business Media Ltd.

Inspired Business Media is a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 08498307 and we have our registered office at Kingshill House, Newport, Wales, UK, NP20 4EA.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (the ICO) with registration number ZA485683.
What data do we collect and why
When you register interest in or book to attend one of our events, either through our website or through a service/hosting provider we are working with, we will ask you to provide your name, job title, email address, contact telephone number and we may also ask you about where you work and what industries you are interested in.
We will use this information to keep you informed about the event that you have booked to attend or to send you the information that you have requested.
If you attend an event without having booked in advance, we will ask you to register on the day and provide your name, email address, contact telephone number, and we may also ask you about where you work and what industries you are interested in.
We will retain your personal information to produce reports on bookings and attendance at events. Any statistical reports that we produce will not allow you to be identified.
We don’t publish delegate lists for video conferences, focus groups, webinars, or live broadcast events but your name and email address may be visible to others in attendance during the event.
Inspired Business Media will process your personal data for the following purposes:
- To reserve a place for you at the event(s) you desire to attend
- To provide you with information about the event(s) for which you have registered, including event updates, and possible changes, cancellations, or similar information
- To provide you with information about accessibility, transportation, parking, etc. that may impact on your attendance to the event
- To fulfil and monitor our legal responsibilities, for example, under Health and Safety legislation
- In accordance with your preferences, to communicate with you about other events, news, and networking opportunities provided by Inspired Business Media
- To photograph and/or film the event for advertising, business, and promotional purposes.
- To publish/communicate a list of attendees at or before the event.
- If you register to attend an event we organise, we may provide the contact information you provide to sponsors of the event which may contact you from time to time for marketing purposes. A list of event sponsors will be available on each event website.
Events Recording
We record some events, and all presenters will have their image and audio captured in the recording. If you are an attendee, you may have the option of sharing your image and audio during the session. If you choose to do so, this will also be captured in the recording.
Some events will feature a moderated Q&A. If you choose to interact with the Q&A your comments may be published to others at the event and will also form part of the recording.
If an event is being recorded, we will always notify you in advance.
Video conferencing
When using video conferencing applications, such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams, personal data such as your IP address and device identifiers may be collected by the companies that own these applications in order to schedule and create a record of meetings, improve and tailor your experience when using these applications. Where video conferencing applications are used to record meetings, personal data captured within the recording are stored within the cloud service owned by that company. Where recording is taking place, you will be notified at the beginning of or as you enter the recording session.
Lawful basis for collecting data
The lawful bases that we rely on for processing your personal data are:
Consent: we collect and process your personal data with your consent when you tick a box to receive further information from us on an online or paper form. We also require your consent when collecting dietary information if attending an event where catering is offered.
Legitimate interests: in specific situations, we collect and process your personal data in order to pursue our legitimate interests in ways which might reasonably be expected as part of our event and provision of our services. These situations include sending you information about an event that you have booked to attend.
Sharing and storing your data
We do not sell your personal data.
We may share your personal data with other organisations in the following circumstances:
- Service providers acting as processors who provide our IT and system administration services.
- Providers of our cloud services, such as Google.
- Our third-party partners, integration providers, and affiliates with whom you engage with using Inspired Business Media services.
- Hosts or event organisers whose events you attend through your use of the Inspired Business Media Services.
- We may share some of the information with external organisations providing services for the event you are atteding, in particular, we may share your information (including dietary requirements) with the catering service if you are attending an event where catering is offered. The information shared will only be used to provide the service required and will not be retained by these external organisations after the event is concluded.
- Professional advisers, including those who provide consultancy, banking, legal, insurance and accounting services.
- Regulators and other public authorities, including law enforcement agencies, where required by law.
